Family living the dream of Australia

Getting local

After the Kids now changed school, I guess I have to start and write some posts in english. I hope you’ll be very generous with me and forgive me my mistakes. But as one learns by doing, I try!

Merle and Joshi still love their new school and can’t wait for the weekend to end. I hope that phase will not come to an end that soon!

And, please forgive me to talk big again, but this week Merle got two Merit Cards in one day. One for her good start at school and one for trying so hard in playing the recorder although she had never played it before! So both have a very encouraging sense, but anyway, both of them were so very proud!

And Timon finally worked out that you have to breath if you wanna swim a distance! He can breath now! I though he might grow gills (I had a look every day)… And it’s not just a one-time-wonder, he finally worked out how to do it!  As he has four make up lessons to do, he has three hours swimming per week at the moment. He went from nearly zero to getting up two levels in one week, as he knows all the technics already!

On Thursday they had a little play at his Pre School. He was playing a little Crab. So cute!!!

As Thomas has been away, he told him yesterday about that. This is (kind of) what he said:” Da war der little fish, der ist da in die cave geschwommen, aber das war nur der big fish.”! Well I guess we’ll hear a lot more of that mixed up during the next time. Even Joshi said the other day :” Timmy, das musst Du nur so pretenden” And normally he’s quite good in not mixing the languages!

Since yesterday the weather finaly seems to get spring-ish! So after we came back from church, we went to the park immediatly. The Kids were running around and enjoying themselves. And we could get Timon to ride a bike or at least to try it. When he realised that Hannah was riding hers really well, that was where we could get him. He tried hard and in the end he could ride it a few meters!!

And then he was totally over the moon when we met his little girl friend from Pre School. I saw her and though “That face looks familiar to me” till I realised that it was her!

After I told him that Maddison was there, it was really cute to see him, running around and trying to impress her. If he would just knew that that is completely unnecessary, as she likes him just as much…

So, that’s it for today, no more news!

See ya!
