Oh what a day
There are days in life, that you just so not need!
Today was one of them. Started off quite promising. BUT
as I was on my way feeding the Guinea Pigs, I ended on my back (Yeah, I know, pretty funny)!!
I stopped just in time, before walking staight into a huge cobweb that wasn’t there just two days ago, with a pretty big spider residing in it. So I ended up throwing the carrots all through the garden and sitting on my back. As it was raining, i slipped and couldn’t hold myself. And I must say it actually hurts. My back and my wrist are still not a hundert percent…. But I shouldn’t whinge!
After I dropped the boys at vacation care, Merle and I went shopping for some more things we needed for tomorrow. After we’ve done that, I was dropping her at Scouts. As nobody was there, we just sat in the car, listened to some music. When I was about to leave, there wasn’t a sound, my battery was flat. Yippie!!! Of course I couldn’t get hold of Thomas and there wasn’t a single other person to see. After a couple of minutes I found someone, willing to help, but not having the slightest idea how. Finaly I spoke to Thomas, who unfortunately couldn’t come for rescue.
But after some more minutes, I found someone, having a clue, willing to help and having all the needed tools on board. So: Jumper Cable clipped, Igition started and everything was well. Except, that I still couldn not go shopping for tomorrow as I had to drive for a while now to recharge the battery. But, beeing clever (sometimes even I have a light moment…), I went home first to get our jumper cable and then I drove to the Shopping centre just around the corner from Thomas’ work, so that he would be able to help me in case the car wouldn’t start again.
But, everything seemed to go smooth this time!
So I ended up, beeing back in time at the Scouts Hall to pick up Merle and drop her at vacation care, racing home to get out guest room ready for our guest and getting prepaired for my camping trip with the kids.
I ended up getting everything done, but not without beeing frustrated again, after I realised how small my car is, compared to my beloved Sharan!!
Anyway, I’ll fit everything in somehow and just fix it with some belts!
Then we just have to have our fingers crossed that it stops to rain. At least for the time needed to built up the tents!!!!
I must say, that wasn’t what I expected form a day off work….
