SO, nachdem Thomas mir am Wochenende ganz fleissig geholfen hat, ist mein Projekt jetzt fertig!!!!
Leider hat es seitdem (fast) nur geregnet, so das die Jungs sie noch nicht richtig einweihen konnten!
Ich bin mir aber sicher, das sie das am Wochenende nachholen werden. Sie haben schon ganz fleissig geschossen, als die Torwand noch nicht fertig war, also hoffe ich, sie werden vollen Nutzten daraus ziehen, jetzt wo alles fertig ist!!!
Unfortunately, Timon did not win the opportunity to play during the Half-time-break at the friendly Socceroos vs. Netherlands game, BUT that didn’t spoil it for us!
Thomas and I took Josh, Timon and Thomas to the game, after we spent some time to get ‘dressed-up’!
We had better seats than what I expected, so that was a nice surprise!
The Netherlands just had one of their “Stars”, which was a bit disappointing, but the Socceroos had all their Stars on board, which was really great!
As it took us ages to get off the Carpark at Moore Park, we didn’t get home till 11.30, but the boys did really well! (but didn’t remember to sleep in this morning…..)
After weeks of trying, I have succeded on Sunday!
I got Ticktes for the Socceroos vs. Oranje Game on the tenth of October in Sydney!
As Merle decided, after I had the Tickets, she didn’t really wanna go, we got her to have a sleepover at Hannahs and we therefore take Thomas, a friend of Josh, to the game!
Today then we got an e-Mail, saying, that Kids between 6 and 8 could win the opportunity to be on the Field with the ‘big boys’!

Yesterday was a big Saturday!
We had Timon playing his last outdoor Soccer game for this season, Josh playing his last ‘best of the rest’-final game and Merle playing her first pre-semi-final Netball game!
Josh unfortunately lost, Timon won, as usual and Merles Team was on FIRE!! They played amazing and won 7:3!
In two weeks time they’ll play against the looser of next weeks pre-semi-final game! In case they do win that game, they’ll play the Final; AND we got a promise from the Coach, Princess James, yesterday! In writing: “I will also now go on record to say WHEN THE GIRLS WIN THE PRELIMINARY FINAL ON 29TH OF AUGUST, I WILL WEAR A TIARA AND FAIRY WINGS(with other clothes) TO THE GRAND FINAL THE NEXT WEEK.”
That’s what James wrot in his Game report yesterday and Iam pretty sure he’ll have all the parents working hard for the next two weeks, getting the girls focused as we ALL wanna see him dressed up!
The Kids had taken part in a programm at school that is run by the AFL. It’s called Auskick and they go into the schools and teach the Kids how to play AFL! Our school has had that programm last Term and the Kids all got free tickets for yesterdays Sydney Swans game vs. Geelong Cats!
The Kids had a ball, they all had their friends around, us adults could enjoy the game, as the Kids entertained themselfs, everyone was happy. The only downside was that the Swanies lost :-(( !!
Today even the Kids had a bit of a sleep-in, so we woke up to lovely sunshine, the forecast was high twenties, so we could enjoy a great breakfast outside in shorts and tees… that’s what you call winter in Australia.YAY!!!!
We enjoyed the sun, and will have a YUM BBQ in just a moment!!

Wollte hier nur mal eben bekannt geben, das siech Australien im drittletzten Qualifikationsspiel mit einem Unentschieden fuer die Fussballweltmeisterschaft qualifiziert hat!
Yeah!!!!
Das ist fuer Australien die dritte WM Teilnahme nach 1974 und 2006! Und sie sind die erste Manschaft, die sich fuer die WM 2010 qualifiziert hat, da ja Suedafrika eh gesetzt ist, als Gastgeber!
So, Ihr lieben Freunde rund um den Erdenball, wie sieht es denn bei Euch so aus???

Ansonsten gibt es nur noch etwas nicht so erfreuliches zu berichten.
Heute bin ich mit Thomas’ Auto unterwegs gewesen, da er mein Auto braucht, um Freunde von uns vom Flughafen abzuholen.
Auf dem Weg zur Schule, um die Kids abzuholen, ist mir dann an der Ampel, oder besser, dem Auto hinter mir, jemand draufgefahren (kommt mir bekannt vor, gleiches Unfallschema hatte ich doch irgendwie schonmal vor etwa 15 Jahren…)!
Da war doch die Freude ueber das heute angekommene Paket vom Amazon gleich wieder dahin… So gefreut hatte ich mich… lauter Klassiker, von Heinz Erhardt fuer Erwachsene und Kinder ueber ‘Pan Tau’ zu ‘Luzie, der Schrecken der Strasse’!!

And it’s about Soccer !
As the lovely time off work has come to an end too soon, we thought, we better get the Kids entertained.
The boys’ Soccer Club had a Holiday Clinic on offer, so we enroled Josh and Timon for three days this week.
This special programm is run by the NSW Soccer association and usualy cooperates with on A League Team. In our case that Team is the Central Coast Mariners.
Today the A League Caoch came and told the Kids about Soccer and showed them little Tricks… and… he even gave Autoramms. Now Joshi’s T-shirt is signed and he’s very proud. Timon forgot to get his shirt out of the bag…. well, that’s Timon as we know him!
It starts at 8.30 and they play Soccer, learn skills and tricks all the way till 1pm!
I must say, they love every single second! Hardly ever do I get told so many informations about what they’ve done while I was at work in the first five minutes after picking them up!
And, the best for us parents… they are soooooo exhausted, they go to bed and are asleep before their head hits the pillow 😉 !!
Today that wasn’t enough Soccer though, as Timon had his regular training, which added another hour of Soccer to his day!
On Saturday Joshi then has his first official game for the Saison, as the first round was washed out due to rain!
Can’t wait!!!

So richtig weiss ich gar nicht, was ich schreiben soll, aber da ich mich schon so lange nicht mehr gemeldet habe…
Seid Anfang der Woche ist Thomas auf seiner Australien’rundreise’ gewesen und seid heute ist er auf dem Weg nach Deutschland, wo er dann Sonntag morgen ankommt!
Am Mittwoch bei den Scouts ist Joshua in die naechste Gruppe aufgestuft worden, wo er kommenden Montag offiziell aufgenommen wird und Timon hat am gleichen Tag seine Abzeichen und sein Scarf bekommen uns ist jetzt auch ganz offiziell ien Joey!
Gestern beim Indoor Soccer war es mal wieder so richtig gut und ich habe fast meine Stmme verloren, so musste ich anfeuern!
Klasse gekaempft haben die Jungs und nicht, wie sonst meisstens, die Hoffnung aufgegeben. Und es sollte belohnt werden. Schoen, so strahlende Augen zu sehen!
Heute war ich dann mit den Kids beim IKEA, wir haben dort fuer Merle nach einem neuen Zimmer gesucht. Nach einem, fuer richtig grosse Maedels!
Wir haben auch etwas gefunden, was ihr richtig gut gefaellt, aber das haetten wir leider nicht in mein Auto bekommen.
Muessen wir also warten, bis Thomas wieder hier ist und wir mit zwei Autos fahren koennen. Er mit Personenfracht und ich mit Moebeln!
Wir haben allerdings in der As Is Abteilung ein kleines Buecherregal und eine kleine Kommode fuer ‘neben’s Bett’ gefunden!
Morgen frueh spielt Josh dann sein erstes Vorbereitungsspiel fuer die Soccersaison. Bin mal gespannt wie’s so laeuft!
Mir faellt keine Ueberschrift ein, desshalb die Fragezeichen!
Am Sonntag hatten die Jungs endlich ihr Soccer grading.
Bei Timon ist das noch ein kurzes zusammenkommen, schnell mit allen Freunden zusammengestellt, das war’s dann!
Er ist wieder mit seinem alten Team zusammen, zwei Abgaenge, zwei Zugaemge, alles wunderbar.
Bei Joshi war es dieses Jahr etwas anders. Sie wurden in verschiedene Teams eingeteilt und haben dann Soccer gespielt, mussten diverse Geschicklichkeitstests mit dem Ball absolvieren, etc.
Danach wurden sie dann eingeteilt und auch er ist mit vielen seiner letztjaehrigen Mates zusammen!
Morgen nun bekommen wir das erste Mal, seid wir hier sind eine ‘Pestcontoll’, einen sogenannten ‘Kammerjaeger’!
Glaubts, oder nicht, mit den Spinnen hier habe ich ja ganz gut leben gelernt, auch die Ameiseninvasion einmal im Jahr finde ich zwar echt nervig, aber ich weiss ja, das es wieder vorbei geht.
Letzte Woche habe ich aber Ameisen entdeckt, die ich noch nie gesehen hatte.
Immer nur abends, oder frueh morgens, wenn es dunkel war, wesentlich groesser, als die, die wir sonst so haben, und viel heller!
Termiten??? White Ants????
Da habe ich dann mal eben die Agentur angerufen und schon am naechsten Tag, nach einem erneuten Anruf, kompetente Antwort bekommen.
Nachmittags habe ich dann unseren Vermieter gesehen und habe mit ihm einen Termin abgemacht. So kommt nun morgen der Kammerjaeger und ‘entpestet’ nicht nur das Haus, sondern auch den Garten. Nicht nur gegen Ameisen, sondern gegen alles, was da so kreucht und fleucht!!!
Und wir muessen’s nicht mal bezahlen!!
Bin mal gespannt, wie erfolgreich das so ist und ob es denn ueberhaupt was bringt.
Oh, vergass ich zu erwaehnen, das sie auch gegen das einzige Zeuchs was unternehmen, was mich echt stoert: Kakaerlaken!!!!
Nicht, das wir da ein so grossen Problem haben, aber jede Kakerlake ist eine zu viel!
Werde dann die Tage mal berichten, wie erfolgreich (oder auch nicht) unsere Kammer gejagt wurde!
So, nun ist unser freier Tag leider auch schon vorbei!
Heute morgen haben wir erst einmal noch schoen gefruehstueckt, als die Kids schon in der Schule waren und sind dann Richtung Tamarama aufgebrochen!
Nachdem es die letzten drei Tage nur (und ich meine NUR) geregnet hat, waren fuer heute 36 Grad vorher gesagt! Wer’s glaubt! Wo kann man sich schon auf die Vorhersage verlassen???
Es war bewoelkt! Aber soooooooo schwuel, unglaublich! Aber wie schon gesagt, amn kann sich nicht auf die Wettervorhersage verlassen, es waren sogar stolze 40 Grad!
Mit Dagmar und Tim und Tims Eltern haben wir uns bei der Hitze dann auf den Weg gemacht, um zu bestaunen, was manche Leute als Kunst deklarieren und aber auch viele Dinge bewundert!
In Bondi angekommen, mussten wir uns dann im RSL Club erst einmal staerken und vor allem etwas trinken!!
Leider gab es keinen Tisch fuer sechs mehr und so wurde unser gemeinsame Ausflug etwas “ungemuetlich”. da Thomas und ich “alleine” sitzen mussten.
Nicht, dass wir diese Zeit nicht geniessen konnten, aber es waere halt auch nett gewesen, mit Dagmar und Tim zusammen zu sitzen!
Da wir ja die Kids dann aus der Schule abholen mussten, konnten wir leider nicht mehr baden gehen, sondern mussten uns auf den Rueckweg machen!
Vorher nochmal schnell Pippi machen gehen!…. man sollte vielleicht auf die Schilder gucken, die nette Menschen in weiser Vorausssicht an eine Toilettentuere machen!
Das verhindert doch mit groesster Wahrscheinlickeit, das man (oder besser FRAU) in die Herrentoilette stuermt!!
Zum glueck hat es keiner der dort urinierenden Maenner bemerkt… nur die Frau, am Tisch gegenueber den Toiletten grinste mich ganz breit an, als ich hochroten Kopfes in die Damentoilette gestuerzt bin…
Die Kids durften dann beim Indoor Soccer heute so richtig schwitzen, aufgrund der schon erwaehnten schwuelen Hitze!
Hat sich aber gelohnt, sie haben ziemlich suveraen gewonnen.
Es macht echt immer mehr Spass zuzsehen, wie sie spielen. Es wird immer schneller, praeziser und Team orientierter!
Just a quick update of what we were up to the last two weeks.
Unfortunately the second weekend at MacMasters Beach had to be canceled. But we used the time to sort out our Bush… some would call it garden!
No honestly… two thirds of our land is bushland. And as it gets warmer now and the snakes come out, we thought we had to go through that part and clear it a bit. And we want to harvest some Maccademia Nuts again, so we had to create a path to the tree.
And.. as mention snakes… we were having a BBQ the other day as we heard a knock on the door.
There was our neighbour and she told us, they had two snakes in their garden that day. She just wanted to warn us as she knows that the Kids go in every bush! The rang the Rangers to ask them what to do and they said, they had 250 calls already till noon and not to worry, the snake would disappear.
So I spend all saturday trying to get hold of the weeds and, even more anoying, the cocklebur! Go… that stuff is strong!! I ended up, having a muscleache in the back of my thighs, from leaning against them to get them out of the soil ( some roots were up to 1.5 meters long!)!
But at the end of the day I was pretty proud of myself, as our Backyard finally looks like a garden again, rather that “something”. And even our Bananaplants have some space again to grow! Who knows, maybe we’ll have some Bananas one day!
On Sunday then we drove up to the Blue Mountains. We had planned to do a little walk to the Wentworth Falls.
As parts of the walk we had planned, still were under construction we had to improvise and ended up, doing a four and a half hour walk!!
It was amazing, stunning with awsome views!
Simply breathtaking!
When we were back home I had a look in our Blue Mountains Bush Walk Book, just to discover that we had combined the only very hard walk around there and one of the two hard walks!
Poor Timon… is all I can say!
But all three of them walked great, without whining! So, after we came back to Sydney we spoiled ourselfs with a big Schnitzel at “Unas”, now “Essen”!
The week went like a storm, so work wasn’t really anoying.
On tuesdays we started to get together with Dave and Jenny for a Pizza night as we discovered there is a Pizza Place that does half price Pizzas on a Tuesday. And it’s just great to catch up at least once a week, sit together, the Kids can play, us adults can chat and relax! And before you know it, it’s Friday and we see each other at Indoor Soccer…
wich was thrilling this week, as both Teams, the Under 6 Greenies and the Under 8 Vipers won their games (wich does not happen very often for the Greenies!!!)!
This week, Timon and Joshi both scored.. what a success!
This Saturday we met with some other Germans at Shelly Beach for a BBQ. As we thought it was really a nice, relaxing afternoon, we decided, we’re gonna do that on a more less regular base now.
We even saw some Whales which was unexpected as they should have gone past weeks ago.
We’re even planning on a “Feuerzangenbowle- abend” on the 6th of December!
This morning the Kids are all at a Birthday Party and when we pick them up, we just stay there and have a BBQ, before heading home!
You see, all we can say at the moment is, that we are pretty much happy with our lives and enjoy every day as it comes!
